Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs (SFAD) is holding their first in-person Annual General Meeting (AGM) since 2019, on Saturday 19th November, 9:30am – 1pm at the Stirling Court Hotel, within the University of Stirling grounds, Stirling, FK9 4LA. (Parking information is available, linked for your convenience.)
The event is completely free, though SFAD would ask attendees to book their place in advance in order to provide numbers for catering.
Tea and coffee will be available, and the AGM business will be followed by an interactive workshop sharing a family member’s story of living drug and alcohol use. There will then be an informal lunch and catch-up from 1pm.

- 10am: Welcome to Forth Valley!
- A chance to hear from the SFAD Forth Valley staff and family members about activities locally to support and connect families.
- 10:30am: Scottish Families Annual General Meeting
- The SFAD Chair, Treasurer and other Board Members will reflect SFAD’s work over the past year, and formally welcome new trustees.
- 11am: Break
- 11:20am: This Fierce Love
- “SFAD has a big ambition: no more hidden families. This interactive workshop session shares a family member’s story of living with alcohol and drug use. We will listen to this story and discuss and reflect on what we have heard together.” The workshop will include a comfort break.
- 12:55pm: Vote of Thanks
