Roots in Bonnybridge has launched their summer programme, and are looking for volunteers to help out.
Volunteers will help set up and clean up for each day, as well as monitoring the children during activities, which take place:
- Duncan Stewart Park, Bonnybridge: Monday 5th July, Wednesday 7th July, Friday 9th July, Monday 12th July, Wednesday 14th July, and Friday 16th July
- Hollandbush Park, Banknock: Monday 19th July, Wednesday 21st July, Friday 23rd July, Monday 26th July, Wednesday 28th July, and Friday 30th July
- Herbertshire Castle Park, Denny: Monday 2nd August, Wednesday 4th August, Friday 6th August, Monday 9th August, Wednesday 11th August, and Friday 13th August
The summer programme will run 11am – 2pm each day, though volunteers will be needed outside those times. All children will receive free snacks and lunch, and activities will include mini-golf, swing ball, parachute play, sensory spaces, soft archery, and agility games.
Roots is also happy for any agencies who deal with wellness and mental health support to attend and share information about themselves for people who may not be familiar with them, or the services they offer. Any sports club who may want to offer free sessions are also welcome.
