Supported by Energy Savings Trust and Cycling UK, Recyke-a-Bike have been able to purchase a fleet of e-bike and e-cargo bikes for our community to try free of charge. They have chosen a wide range of different bikes and trikes, to help everyone have a chance to try an e-bike that would work for them.
They are offering free one-month trials of their fleet of E-bikes for you to try – included in the trail are the E-Bike, a gold standard lock, a helmet, and a track pump. There will be a one-on-one training session with the bike before you can take it away which will be tailored to your experience and will focus on the differences in riding an electric bike or cargo bike. They will also show you how to charge the battery, how to maintain the bike and how to lock it up safely.
The offer is open to anyone in the Forth Valley who is 18 years of age and above. You’ll need to provide three forms of identification and a proof of address – although, you can sign up online, and provide these documents electronically. You will need to sign the loan agreement and abide by the terms and conditions of that document.
You will be responsible for any damage or loss of the e-bike– which may be chargeable. You will need to return the machine in full working order. If the machine fails for any reason, it is your responsibility to return it, so our mechanics can resolve the issue. The e-bike must be stored behind a locked door when not in use and locked to an immoveable object.
To trial a bike now, please visit their e-bike library to check the availability of each bike, book a bike, and arrange collection. For further information about bikes on offer, please view the Information Sheet (linked for your convenience).
