Scottish Government’s Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Programme has launched a new e-learning module, Recognising and Responding to Distress (RR2D), designed to empower practitioners who are responding directly to people in distress, to do so compassionately and effectively.
The module takes around 75 – 90 minutes, and can be used by organisations or individuals who may respond directly to people experiencing distress, as part of their role.
By the end of the module, learners should:
- have an understanding of distress and contributory factors
- be able to provide a compassionate response to distress
- have an awareness of the importance of self-care and reflection
