Ready to RISE is a free training programme for women and non-binary people who want to create positive change in their communities through social enterprise. It offers practical support, peer connections, and guidance to help turn good ideas into sustainable ventures.
Applications are now open for the next two Ready to RISE cohorts, and Firstport is hosting two free information sessions where people can hear directly from social entrepreneurs who have built businesses around creating social impact:
- Join Eloho Efemuai, founder of Adelphe Connect, in Dunfermline on Friday 2 October to hear how she supports women from minoritised communities through coaching, mentoring and leadership development. To book your place, please visit the designated humanitix webpage.
- Meet Amy Wight, founder of Café ReCharge, in Edinburgh on Thursday 22 October to learn more about her pay-what-you-can café in Galashiels that uses surplus food to tackle food poverty, food waste and social isolation. To book your place, please visit the designated humanitix webpage.
Whether you are exploring an early-stage idea or already taking steps towards creating a social enterprise, these events are a great way to learn more about what’s possible and the support available. So why not Get Ready to RISE?
