Are you in need of social investment, but not sure where to look?
Social Investment Scotland (SIS) has launched a new series of 9 online workshops, taking place over the summer to look at what’s involved when raising investment. These will featire input from entrepreneurs who have raised social investment within their specific sector, including retail, tourism, rental, and health and social care, amongst others.
Each workshop is 2 hours long, focusing on raising investment for the first 90 minutes, which is then followed by 30 minutes covering crowdfunding and community shares.
The Raising Investment workshops will cover the range of social investment providers operating in Scotland, and the range of options available (including some grant or “blended” options). During the workshops, Community Shares Scotland will discuss exploring alternative ways to raise investment for communities, including community shares models and crowdfunding campaigns.
The first workshop, Raising Investment – Food and Drink Services (with Fiona Allan, Chair, Fly Cup Catering) takes place Tuesday 21st July, 2pm – 4pm.
