In conjunction with Scottish Grief Cafes, the Kit-Tea Café (Cockburn Street) is now hosting free drop-in sessions for anyone over 18 who is navigating grief. The Grief Café will take place on the third Thursday each month from 4:30pm-6pm.
The Kit-Tea Café is a non-profit community interest mental health cat café, aiming to combat the stigma surrounding mental health issues. They hope to raise awareness of cat welfare issues in Scotland as well as supporting the local community with their mental health in the form of animal therapy.
Scottish Grief Cafés began in the Borders and are a safe and supportive place for people to share memories, feelings, stories, experiences and to connect with others who understand. The cafés are not a form of counselling or therapy. Please note there will be cats present in the venue.
