Due to popular demand, we are delighted to announce we have added another date to our “An Informed Choice: Community Asset Transfer” online sessions, on Monday 20th February, 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
Taking place via Zoom, the session is open to third sector organisations and groups across Falkirk and District, from Bo’ness to Banknock, Airth to Limerigg, including: charities, voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, volunteers, community centre and hall associations, and committees and boards.

These sessions are part of our support to the local third sector and communities around the recently announced Strategic Property Review and the proposal to make 133 council-owned properties available for transfer to communities. “An Informed Choice” is a chance to learn more about the opportunities and possible challenges of CAT and community ownership, including rights and responsibilities, and eligibility criteria.
We will be joined by the Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) and Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS), who will discuss the CAT process and steps involved. The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland and HIE Scotland will also be speaking about the Scottish Land Fund, and there will be time dedicated to attendees’ questions.
To book your place the new “An Informed Choice” session, please contact our team by email: info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
