Neurodiversity Celebration Week (NCW) 2023 takes place Monday 13th March – Sunday 19th March.
NCW is a worldwide initiative aiming to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions around neurodiversity, while providing opportunities to recognise the strengths and talents of neurodivergent people.
There are a number of free online events taking place throughout the week, open to everyone. To encourage participants to speak openly about their personal stories and experiences, the events will not be recorded.
Events will feature panel discussions, 9 introductory sessions, and over 70 speakers, with insights, individuals’ lived experiences, and input from professionals and advocates working across the neurodiversity field(s).
Panel discussion topics include:
- The Language of Neurodiversity
- Creating a Neuroinclusive Classroom
- Building a Neurodiversity-friendly Workplace Culture
- Neuroinclusion in Further & Higher Education
- Neurodiversity for Parents and Carers
- Culture, Community and Class in Neurodiversity
- The Benefits of Neurodiversity in the Workplace
- Neurodiversity and the Justice System
- Neurodiversity: We don’t all fit into one box!
- Supporting the Success of Neurodivergent Learners
- Neuroinclusive Design and Assistive Technology
- The Experiences of Neurodivergent Women and Girls
- Good Practice for Neurodiversity Professionals
These events run every day during NCW, and are open to schools, educators, parents and families, workplaces, and anyone else who wishes to attend.
