Falkirk Community Trust is looking for a new venue for their free music tuition programme.
The Falkirk Traditional Music Project is part of the local Youth Music Initiative (YMI), consisting of free music tutor-led instrument tuition classes after school for young people aged 8 – 18 years old. Young people are also provided with free access to the programme’s YMI-funded instruments.
They were hoping to return to in-person classes in January, after being online throughout the pandemic. However, as a result of changes due to COVID-19, the Project can no longer use their previous venue.
The Project only has a small budget due to reduced funding, and requires 4 small rooms to fit around 6 people in each, and one large room for the traditional band. They are particularly keen to support charities, and third sector community groups, and would welcome hearing from anyone with available space.
