- Ask the Expert – Hidden in Plain Sight: Gambling and Financial Harms.
Taking place on Wednesday 4 November at 1pm, Money Advice Scotland invites all to a free one-hour interactive session delivered by the Scottish Gambling Education Hub, a Fast Forward programme funded by the Scottish Government. Together, participants will consider how to sensitively introduce gambling into conversations about money and finances, alongside practical approaches to harm reduction and appropriate signposting to specialist support.
Gambling harm is not always immediately visible. For people accessing money advice services, gambling may be contributing to debt, financial insecurity or difficulties meeting essential costs without being identified or disclosed as part of the presenting issue. This session will explore gambling through a public health and harm reduction lens, considering how gambling harm can affect individuals, children, young people and families.

- The 12 Scams of Christmas Webinar.
Taking place on Tuesday 10 November at 11am, Money Advice Scotland invites all to a free webinar exploring the top 12 scams to look out for over Christmas time and, most importantly, what you can do to protect yourself.
As we get closer to Christmas, we often spend more money than usual. This can mean more transactions going in and out of our bank accounts, as well as shopping on websites we may not normally use. With many of us looking for the best deals on gifts, scammers see this as an opportunity to target us and try to trick us into handing over our money or personal information.

- An Introduction to Financial Wellbeing: Training for Third Sector Practitioners
