We work to promote Kinneil Estate, House, Museum & Nature Reserve in Bo’ness.
- Kinneil boasts acres of woodland and natural habitat. Explore the area on foot or bike, or join a free guided walk. Check out free audio tours and maps of the area.
- The Roman Antonine Wall – which runs through Kinneil Estate – was named as a British World Heritage Site in 2008. Read our archive story on the announcement. Also Walks, Map, Videos relating to the Wall.
- Kinneil Estate and Nature Reserve are part of the John Muir Way, a long-distance walking route across central Scotland. See www.johnmuirway.org for details.
The Friends of Kinneil charity is dedicated to helping to promote and develop Kinneil Estate and Foreshore in Bo’ness. Anyone interested can join. We are led wholly by volunteers and in 2016 were proud to win a national Scottish Heritage Angel Award for our efforts.
There’s a small charge to cover our administrative costs. In return we’ll invite you to events and help you get involved in our work. Scroll to the bottom of the page to view annual report presentations to find out how the support of members – and the community – really matters.

- £25 for group/corporate membership
Subscriptions are renewable at the beginning of May each year.
We welcome new membership applications at any time. If you are a new member and join between November and May, we will extend your subscription for more than a year, until the following May. (This does not apply to renewals).
