During Challenge Poverty Week last week, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) published its “Poverty in 2022” report, which provides evidence about poverty levels and impacts across Scotland over the past year.
It contains statistics such as nearly one in 5 households on low incomes in Scotland have gone hungry and cold this year, even before the winter months. The report further puts forward a series of recommendations for both the Scottish and UK Governments to take immediate action, to help elevate levels of poverty in Scotland.
