CVS Falkirk & District is pleased to welcome our new Social Enterprise Development Officer, Alex Bewley.
Alex’s role is to provide increased support to social enterprise in the Falkirk District area, as well as working with our colleagues in Stirling and Clackmannanshire to strengthen the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network (FVSEN). He said:
“Falkirk was officially recognised as a ‘hotspot’ for social enterprise by Social Enterprise Scotland earlier this year, so I’m chuffed to be coming into this role at such an exciting time.
“The team and third sector community here have been amazing so far and I’m looking forward to getting to know all of the social entrepreneurs in the Falkirk district area, from the established organisations doing great work to the newcomers with big ideas.
“If you’re either of these, I’m here to help so feel free to drop me a line!”
The role of the Social Enterprise Development Officer is funded by Scottish Government to help grow social enterprise in Falkirk district and Forth Valley, supporting social enterprises through start-up and business planning, to funding, tendering, and beyond. This is a free resource, which we are delighted to be able to provide.
Stay tuned for information on new upcoming opportunities for social enterprises, including dedicated training and workshops – Alex will be sharing updates on this soon. In the meantime, if you have any queries or are seeking support, please don’t hesitate to contact Alex directly, by phone: 01324 692000, or email: alex.bewley@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
