Friends of Inchyra Park are currently working to bring the Falkirk district’s first outdoor gym to Grangemouth.

They have already secured funding to bring 3 heritage trails to the park, which will all start and finish where the gym will be located. This will offer a natural, one-way system in the park, in line with COVID-19 protocols and recovery.

With these trails and the gym, Friends of Inchyra Park aim to create a sustainable infrastructure to maximize the potential of the gym (which will also include a cycle parking facility and further resting stations such as benches along the trails).

In addition, they are working to regenerate the inner swing park, which includes resurfacing and installing a wheelchair-friendly picnic bench. They have also secured an artist to create a large mural in the park.

They have also released images of the proposed gym design: Image 1 and Image 2.
