LGBT Youth Scotland (LGBTYS) and The Rock Trust are seeking 10 young people (aged 16 – 25 years) to join their housing and homelessness co-production group for 18 months.
Members of the group will:
- define the project plan, aims, and agenda
- deepen your understanding of human rights and housing rights
- create and analyse peer consultations
- co-design and deliver peer education sessions on housing rights for LGBTYS and Rock Trust users
- develop housing resources for LGBTQ+ young people
This project, starting on Wednesday 19 February, offers a unique chance to influence long-term policy and practice, raise awareness of LGBTQ+ homelessness issues, and empower LGBTQ+ youth with knowledge about their housing rights.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Wednesday 12 February. Meetings will be a mix of online and in-person (venue will be confirmed closer to the time). Travel expenses can be covered. As there are only 10 spaces available on the group, if these fill up quickly, a waiting list will be created.
To sign up for the group, or for further information, please complete the online form (linked for your convenience), or contact Alan Massie by email: email alan.massie@lgbtyouth.org.uk
