For a limited time, Generations Working Together (GWT) is offering a 50% discount on their International Certificate in Intergenerational Practice (ICIP) course for its Scottish members.
The online course runs Tuesday 16th January – Monday 11th March; to be able to access the discount, payments must be made in full by the invoice date provided, or by Wednesday 10th January.
This course is aimed at anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of intergenerational work, its purpose, impact and practical application, to enable them to apply this within their own work. ICIP consists of 3 online modules, taking approximately 75 hours to complete over the 8 weeks; each student will receive support from an online tutor.
The current price for Scottish GWT members is £115 (to access this, Scottish members must ensure they login before registering for the course). For Scottish non-members, the price per place is £275; GWT membership is free for those living in Scotland.
On completion of the ICIP course, participants should:
- understand what is meant by “intergenerational practice and projects”, and what they can achieve
- understand the ways in which intergenerational practice and projects are of relevance in different contexts and situations, and why they are so important in today’s changing society
- understand how intergenerational practice and projects can contribute to more inclusive communities and workplaces
- understand and recognise the importance of monitoring and evaluating intergenerational projects
- understand some of the opportunities and issues which can arise in monitoring and evaluating an intergenerational project
The course is accredited by the CPD Standards Office, who will provide 75 hours of CPD if successfully completed.
