Healthcare Improvement Scotland – Community Engagement (HIS-CE) has been asked by Scottish Government to gather people’s views on the proposed policy changes being suggested as part of the review of the Planned Care Waiting Times Guidance.
This will include the wording of updates and communications, as well as the changes themselves.
Scottish Government has already made a number of changes, which have been approved by the Waiting Times Guidance review group. The review group includes representations from Health Boards, Public Health Scotland, Centre for Sustainable Delivery, and other Scottish Government policy areas (eg. primary care and clinicians).
They are now looking for views from members of the public to help develop the guidance further.
As part of this work, HIS-CE is looking to speak with 6 or 7 people from Forth Valley, via one-to-one interviews either by phone or video call.
They hope to speak with a range of people in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, and where people live. There will be a set of questions which will be shared with participants before the call, so people know what to expect and have time to think about their responses.
The deadline for taking part is Friday 14th April, when the project ends.
To get involved, please contact the HIS-CE team by email: his.engageforthvalley@nhs.scot
HIS-CE will then send on further information and the questions that will be asked during the interview. Once people have confirmed they would like to go ahead, HIS-CE will arrange a phone call or video call at a time that suits.
