Forth Valley’s programme of events for 2023’s 16 Days of Action is now live.
16 Days of Action (or Activism) is an annual international campaign, beginning on 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, running until 10th December, Human Rights Day. This year’s theme is “UNITE! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls”, calling on people to show how much they care about ending violence against women and girls, by sharing the actions they are taking to create a world free from violence towards women. This year’s campaign also calls on governments worldwide to share how they are investing in gender-based violence prevention.
The Forth Valley programme includes information on launch events at Scottish Parliament (taking place Saturday 25th November, focusing on the work of Soroptimist International) and Forth Valley (on Monday 27th November at Forth Valley College’s Stirling campus), plus learning events for students and pupils throughout Forth Valley, events from Stirling Women’s Aid, White Ribbon Scotland, Equally Safe Falkirk, Police Scotland, and others. There will also be a number of training sessions, workshops, and activities.
For further information, including how to book your place at any event, activity or session, please view or download the Forth Valley 16 Days of Action programme as a pdf.
