In order to ensure Falkirk’s new Town Hall works for everyone, Falkirk Council has launched a public consultation on its use, with a short online survey, plus community drop-in events, informal drop-in chats, and library displays until the end of June.
Online Survey
The survey focuses on how people would use the building, and will shape what’s on offer, how shared spaces are used, and what facilities will make it welcoming for everyone. Please note this does not include what the building will look like outside (there will be a separate consultation about this).
The building is still at a design stage, and feedback submitted now can influence decisions about:
- the types of performances, activities and events the new town hall should offer
- how shared spaces (like the library, café and foyer) should feel and be used day to day
- when performances, classes and hospitality should be scheduled to match how people typically spend their time
- what accessibility features and public facilities will help people use the building comfortably
While the building is planned to open in late 2028, planning for what goes inside starts now, especially for theatre programming, hospitality, and council services. Feedback will be used to help inform decisions around the final internal layout of the building and the sort of activities people would like to see in the venue.
Community and Library Drop-ins
At the Community Drop-in sessions, people can:
