The Falkirk Community Schools 2008 Fund, managed by Foundation Scotland, is now open for applications.
The Falkirk Community Schools 2008 Fund was set up by the Falkirk Community Schools Charity to support the advancement of education and the provision of recreation facilities across the Falkirk Council area, through projects meeting one or both of the fund’s aims:
- to advance education within the fund area (ie. the Falkirk Council area)
- to provide or support the provision of recreational facilities that will improve the lives of those living within the fund area
Large grants of £25,000 – £50,000 are available, to be spent over 12 months – 3 years.
Awards can support a wide range of costs and activities, including equipment costs, staff or sessional worker costs, consultations and feasibility studies, and maintenance or refurbishment of community facilities. Activities funded must be consistent with recognised charitable purposes.
The fund will consider existing core costs, but only for up to 10% of the total amount requested. It is expected that the majority of any applications would be for new or project specific work.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Monday 17th October.
