SEStran and Falkirk Council are working with Arup (an independent firm which provides design, engineering, architecture, planning, and advisory services across every aspect of the built environment) to develop proposals for active travel (walking, wheeling and cycling) routes, from Falkirk to Larbert, and Falkirk to Polmont.
These routes are part of the wider strategic network for the South East of Scotland (which provides a vision for a high quality regional active travel network across the south east of Scotland), and form a key part of Falkirk’s Active Travel Strategy (pdf version also available to view or download).
They are keen to hear from the local communities and stakeholders within Falkirk District about these proposals – views and responses can be submitted via the new Virtual Engagement Room, an online platform which allows people to submit their feedback on the Concept Design proposals for these routes. People can also check on the progress so far, the planned next steps, and an overview of both routes.
The deadline for responses is Friday 26th January.
For further information, including how to submit your response, please visit the Virtual Engagement Room.
