A Fairer Falkirk for Everyone – have your say on Falkirk’s future equality outcomes
Falkirk Council are working towards a Fairer Falkirk and need your help to shape their future equality outcomes. Over the next 4 years, they are aiming to tackle the biggest inequalities in our area, making a real difference in people’s lives.
But they need your help.
Below are the outcomes they think the Council should work towards, based on data and other evidence from across their services. They need you to share which of these are most important to you, your family, and your communities. To do so, they ask that you complete this 2-question consultation: Project: A Fairer Falkirk for everyone | Participate+
- Our services meet the needs of those experiencing inequalities
- Travel across our area is inclusive and accessible, especially for young people and those with disabilities
- Young people (16-19 year olds) are supported to enter and sustain work, education or training, particularly those from our most deprived areas, those who are care experienced and those with additional support needs
- Single mothers are supported to increase their household income
- People with disabilities have access to the opportunities and integrated support they need to enter, sustain and progress into and within fair work
- Parks and open spaces are accessible for everyone to enjoy, especially for those with disabilities
- Attainment is raised and educational inequality is reduced, especially for those at risk of experiencing inequalities
The views shared as part of the consultation will confirm which of these outcomes Falkirk Council agree to focus on, and they will publish the results of this as part of their Equalities Mainstreaming and Outcomes report in 2025.
