Scottish Mental Health First Aid Training
Staff and volunteers living or working in the Falkirk District are invited to attend a 2 day Scottish Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) course on Tuesday 7 October and Tuesday 14 October 2025, 9:30am – 4:30pm. The in-person training is aimed at those who want to help someone with mental health problems, whether in a professional or personal capacity. It focuses on early intervention and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to provide initial help before professional support is available.

“Volunteering: A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach” Online Training
Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities (THRE) is holding a free online training course, “Volunteering – A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach”, on Tuesday 14 October 2025, 1pm – 4pm, via Zoom (with regular breaks throughout the session). The course is open to anyone working in Scotland’s third sector who is responsible for or involved with a volunteering programme, and is interested in learning why and how to take a human rights and equalities approach to their work.
