Young Women’s Movement 30 Under 30: Nomination Deadline
September 12, 2023 @ 9:00 am
FreeThe Young Women’s Movement (YWM) has opened nominations for their 30 Under 30 list.
30 Under 30 is YWM’s annual campaign featuring 30 young women, girls and non-binary people in Scotland, who are making changes in their communities and wider society.
YWM set up the 30 Under 30 list in 2016, to address the lack of diverse representation of young women in Scotland on other 30 Under 30 lists. They aim to recognise young women, girls and non-binary people in Scotland who are creating change in their own lives, their communities and society at large. This could be within their job, school, volunteering, or in their day to day life, including leading a campaign in their local area or a project at school, or are young carers, writers, or musicians.
Eligibility
Those nominated must be:
- self-identifying young women and girls, and non-binary people (who feel comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of women and girls)
- aged 30 years old and under
- living in Scotland, or Scottish living abroad
They are keen to hear about all inspiring stories, but would especially like to receive more nominations for those:
- who are living outwith the central belt of Scotland, eg. the Highlands, Islands and Borders
- who have marginalised identities or backgrounds, eg. Black and People of Colour, LGBTQ+, disabled people, or those from lower socio-economic backgrounds
- who are under the age of 18 years old
Deadlines and How to Nominate
The deadline for nominations is 9am on Tuesday 12th September.
