Transition Overview for Parents

FreeFalkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre is holding the following events in the new year:
- Transition Overview for Parents: Tuesday 27 January 2026, 3pm – 4pm at the Carers Centre, 1A Bank Street, Falkirk, FK1 1NB
Fiona Douglas, Transitions Coordinator for Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), is coming into the centre to provide a Transitions Overview for parents who care for their children.
Fiona supports primarily children with autism who struggle with changes, helping them come to terms with transitioning from primary school to high school, or from high school to work. She also helps parents transition from children to adult services.

- Carer Essentials Information Session: Wednesday 4 February 2026, 2pm – 3:30pm, at either the Carers Centre or via Zoom
The Carers Centre is also seeing the return of its Carer Essentials, where new or newly registered carers can attend to learn more about what the team does at the Carers Centre, and how they can support carers. It is also designed as an opportunity for attendees to connect with other carers and leave equipped with knowledge to support themselves and the person they care for. These sessions will occur on the first Wednesday of each month, depending on demand, 2pm – 3:30pm.
