TCV Scotland Willow Weaving Event

£38.02The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Scotland has organised a number of upcoming events at Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre at Wood Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8LH, including:
- Willow Weaving on Friday 22nd March, 10am – 12:30pm: BOOKING LINK
A meditative weaving class designed as an introduction to basketry for beginners; no weaving experience is necessary. Attendees will learn how to weave a fat ball bird feeder using ancient willow basketry methods. Tickets are £38.02 (including booking fees).
- Wild Flower Identification on Friday 7th June, 10am – 4pm: BOOKING LINK
A hands-on one day workshop delivered by Faith Anstey of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI), aiming to help participants build their confidence in using field guides to recognise different plant families.
After being introduced to basic terms and concepts, participants will try some identification exercises, and given advice on how to choose and use a field guide, along with how to follow simple keys. Participants will also be given a free copy of Faith Anstey’s Wildflower Families guide book (RRP £6.99). Tickets are £70.11 (including booking fees).
