Stirling Photography Festival: Jennifer Charlton Talk
August 29, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
FreeAs part of 2025’s Stirling Photography Festival, which aims to build an inclusive community through photography, organisers have announced that they will be exhibiting the work of award winning photographer Jennifer Charlton at The Barracks Conference Centre, Forthside Way, Stirling, FK8 1QZ, until Friday 26 September 2025.
Established in 2018 in celebration of Scotland’s Year of Young People, the Stirling Photography Festival is now in its 7th year and is run by a team of passionate volunteers. The festival features inclusive, free to attend workshops, exhibitions and talks. Each year, the festival has worked with and exhibited some of Scotland’s renowned contemporary artists, as well as international artists.
“We are supporting home grown talent to achieve their creative potential by partnering with some of the newest and finest photographers from Stirling, Scotland and further.”
The work on show in this exhibition is from Jennifer’s long-term project exploring mental health, “A Hidden Community”. Through this project, Jennifer has worked with several individuals over an extended period of time, capturing their stories in words and in pictures. Together they form a collection of portraits, each taken in the sitter’s “happy place”.
Alongside the exhibition, Jennifer will hold free lunchtime talks about her project and her own journey, “Light Through the Shadows: A Life in Focus”, taking place:
- Friday 29 August 2025 12:30pm – 2pm: BOOKING LINK
