SRN Recovery Conversation Café: Self-Harm Support Services (Inverness)
February 28, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
FreeScottish Recovery Network (SRN) is holding recovery conversation cafés throughout February (both online and in-person) to explore how services and support for people affected by self-harm can be improved.
Cafés will take place:
- Via Zoom:
- Tuesday 7th February, 11am – 12:30pm (a secure Zoom link and welcome pack will be sent ahead of the event)
- In-person events:
-
- Glasgow, Tuesday 14th February, 1pm – 2:30pm
- Dundee, Tuesday 21st February, 1pm – 2:30pm
- Inverness, Tuesday 28th February , 1pm – 2:30pm
SRN’s staff team will host the cafés with the support of people with lived experience. Please note, numbers at the in-person events have been kept deliberately low to allow more time to explore people’s opinions and ideas. Places are given on a first come, first serve basis, and all sessions are the same. Attendees should only book for one session.
SRN is looking to hear from people who are willing to share their experiences of self-harm support, as well as people, services and organisations who provide support, exploring:
- What enables people to live well?
- What would make support and services better?
- How can sharing your experiences with others in similar circumstances help?
Feedback from these events will be shared with Scottish Government, to help shape their new Self-Harm Strategy and develop better services, while also supporting the development of the new Penumbra Self-Hatm Network Scotland.
