Police Scotland Special Constable Recruitment Events

Police Scotland is running 2 in-person Special Constable recruitment events on Saturday 10 May 2025, 10:30am – 1pm and 1:30pm – 4pm, at the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan Castle, Kincardine, FK10 4BE.

The Special Constable is a volunteer role with the same powers as a Police Officer. These events are free to attend and aim to provide those interested in volunteering with Police Scotland with a better understanding of the Special Constable role.

At each event, they will discuss:

• the operational duties of a Special Constable
• the recruitment process and eligibility criteria
• the benefits of joining Police Scotland
• the assessment process

Attendees will also have the chance to meet the recruitment and volunteer coordination team, some of the Special Constables, and have the chance to ask any questions they may have.

Spaces are limited to 50 per session, therefore are available on a first come, first serve basis.
