National Plan to End the Need for Foodbanks: Consultation Deadline
January 25, 2022
FreeScottish Government is currently consulting on a draft national plan to end the need for food banks as a primary response to food insecurity, and have launched an online consultation to gather views. A series of consultation workshops has also been organised, with the next taking place on Monday 20th December, 2pm – 4pm via Teams.
This is part of Scottish Government’s commitment to ensuring a dignified and sustainable approach to food for everyone.
They are keen to hear from people who have used foodbanks, and/or have direct experience of food insecurity, and the third sector groups who support them, both via the online consultation and the workshops. The process aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone with these experiences to contribute to the national plan, and to have their voices heard.
