Lead Scotland Free Online Safety Class
July 27 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pmFree
Lead Scotland is hosting free short classes via Zoom over the coming months to help people to use the internet confidently and safely, with the next class taking place on Monday 27th July at 1pm.
The classes are 45 minutes long, and all cover the same material and resources, so participants only need to attend one. Everyone is welcome to attend.
During the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, many people have been more active online and on digital devices, including those who may be less familiar with internet security, or have barriers to using the internet safely (such as children, those with additional support needs, conditions like dyslexia, or low literacy).
The online classes aim to cover the basics of how to protect against hackers by using strong passwords, how to tell if a website is real or not and how to avoid email and social media scams. There will also be information on COVID-19-related scams, and the opportunity to ask questions or raise concerns.
To book your place, please visit the registration page.
