Know Your Options Session with SDS Forth Valley

Self Directed Support (SDS) is the mechanism for delivering personal and social care in Scotland, providing individuals with choices and control over their care. Despite its implementation since 2014, reports indicate that awareness of SDS remains limited.

To combat this, SDS Forth Valley is hosting an online “Know Your Options” session on Tuesday 3 June 2025, 10am – 11am.

This free session aims to educate carers, family members, people with long-term health conditions or disabilities, members of the public, and professionals, on the Self Directed Support process. This introductory session will cover the Person Pathway, from initial contact with social work to the delivery of care, ensuring people are well-informed and empowering them to support others effectively.
