Health and Wellbeing Forum: February 2026 Meeting

CVS Falkirk & District’s next Health and Wellbeing Forum will take place on Wednesday 25 February 2026, from 10am-12pm, and will be held online via MS Teams.

This forum will include a deafblind awareness taster training session, giving participants the opportunity to explore some of the everyday issues faced by deafblind people and to develop confidence in engaging with individuals with combined sight and hearing loss.

The session will be led by Ruth Hart, Senior Programme Leader at Deafblind Scotland, and will cover:

• Deafness, visual impairment and deafblindness
• The definition of deafblindness
• Key considerations when engaging with deafblind people
• Communication methods
• An introduction to deafblind manual skills

The forum will also feature a presentation from Chloe Mackie, Registered Manager at the British Red Cross (Health and Care), who will provide an overview of the Falkirk Care At Home service.

Chaired by Eloise Wilson, Partnership Development Manager at CVS Falkirk & District, there will also be time for member updates, open discussion, and any other business.

This session is open to forum members and partners with an interest in health, wellbeing, and inclusive practice across Falkirk and the surrounding area.
