Grangemouth Spatial Vision and Town Centre Masterplan Drop-in Event

Falkirk Council has prepared a draft Spatial Vision for the future of the whole of Grangemouth, and a Masterplan for the town centre.

Its aims are to:

• agree high level priorities to guide how the town will change on the ground over the coming years
• trigger detailed action planning to implement those priorities, including testing different options for improving the town centre
• complement and support other ongoing work in Grangemouth, including the Community Action Plan and Greener Grangemouth

Falkirk Council has noted:

“It will take time to fix the big challenges that the town faces – including changing the town’s housing mix, the future of the town centre and the town’s industrial structure. The Spatial Vision and Town Centre Masterplan are long-term visions rather than detailed action plans, and a step on the way to implementation. Before embarking on fleshing out the detail, we want to pause and agree the direction of travel.”

The purpose of this survey is to ask Grangemouth residents and businesses for feedback on the draft Spatial Vision and Town Centre Masterplan. They will then be refined in the light of these comments, before being finalised and considered for approval by the Council later this year.

To support people in submitting their views, Falkirk Council is holding 2 drop-in events, where people will have the opportunity to view the combined Vision and Masterplan, and chat with town planning specialists and council officers. Everyone is welcome at the events, which will take place:

• Tuesday 26 August 2025, 3pm – 8pm at Kersiebank Community Education Centre, Dundas School, Oxgang Road, Grangemouth, FK3 9EF
• Thursday 28 August 2025, 3pm – 7pm at Grangemouth Library, Bo’ness Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8AG

The deadline for responses is Sunday 7 September 2025.
