“Getting Started with AI” Workshop with The Third Sector Lab

FreeCurious about AI but not sure where to start? Wondering how AI could help your charity save time, improve efficiency and support your mission?
Join David Scurr (Programme and Partnerships Lead at CAST) on Thursday 1 May 2025 from 12pm for a friendly and interactive workshop which will give you the confidence to start experimenting with AI safely and responsibly. No technical background required!
Sessions will focus on:
- Practical ways AI can support your work – from creating slide-decks to summarising research reports.
- Real-life charity use cases – insights from CAST’s Digital Leads Network and AI Peer Group.
- Live demos of AI tools – see AI tools in action and learn how to start using them.
- Risks and ethical considerations – understand some of the key challenges and how to navigate them.
- Simple steps and resources – take away practical resources and templates to help you start using AI responsibly
Sessions are free to volunteers or anyone working in a third sector organisation. Please sign up via their registration form (linked for your convenience) to receive joining instructions for the Zoom call. Please note: if you have not entered a valid organisation name upon sign up you may not be admitted to the session.
This workshop is part of Third Sector Lab’s The Curve offering of free digital skills training for the third sector. The Curve is a series of free, 90-minute workshops for third sector organisations aiming to build knowledge around best digital practices, raise awareness of digital tools and ultimately help increase impact with digital.
