Froglife Free Training Course

November 27, 2019 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Froglife are offering a free training course, “Reptile and Amphibian Habitat Management”, on Wednesday 27th November, 10:30am – 4pm, at the Kinneil Estate, Boness, EH51 0PR.

This course is part of Froglife’s “Come Forth for Wildlife” project, where they are working across Forth Valley, aiming to develop connections to conserve and enhance the unique heritage the area offers.

The course will combine an indoor element (covering habitat management) with a visit to nearby ponds at Kinneil Estate to discuss key habitat types, in addition to the chance to create a terrestrial wildlife feature on site. Attendees will also learn more about how to identify the different reptile and amphibian species of Scotland.

“Reptile and Amphibian Habitat Management” may be of particular interest to people who:

  • have their own garden or allotment plot
  • manage grounds as a profession
  • volunteer in the environmental sector
  • are looking to gain experience in conservation and the environment

Suitable outdoor clothing and outdoor footwear are recommended when attending the training course.  Coffee and tea will be provided for attendees.

Spaces are limited, and booking is essential.
