Firstport Social Innovation Challenge 2022: Application Deadline

Firstport has launched their new Social Innovation Challenge.

The Social Innovation Challenge is a programme which funds and supports innovators to kick-start solutions tackling some of the most pressing challenges, centred around a yearly theme. Building on the legacy of COP26, the 2022 theme is “innovative solutions to climate change issues faced by rural communities in Scotland”.

The programme will award up to £50,000 in grant funding to support the development of new social enterprise solutions, as well as tailored support to launch and implement the solution. Firstport are also particularly interested in solutions positive contributing to Net Zero by helping reduce carbon emissions.

Projects should demonstrate:

• an element of innovation
• a clear link to the theme
• strong evidence of community engagement and participation
• strong potential for income generation, as well as significant, measurable and lasting social impact

The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 16^th September.
