Domestic Abuse Training Session

FreeThe Falkirk Gender Based Violence Partnership and Clackmannanshire Violence Against Women Partnership are holding a free Domestic Abuse Training Session on Tuesday 28th March, 9:30am – 3:30pm at the Camelon Education Centre, Abercrombie Street, Camelon, Falkirk, FK1 4HA.
The training is a basic, introductory multi-agency session that aims to develop understanding of domestic abuse, its challenges and impact on women, children and young people.
The training is aimed at workers who are currently working directly or indirectly with those affected by domestic abuse. It is also of relevance to anyone interested in learning more about domestic abuse.
Training will be information based, with delegate participation, and will cover the following issues:
- domestic abuse as gender-based abuse
- deconstructing domestic abuse
- coercive control
- impact on children and young people
- agency barriers and solutions
Please note that, whilst this training is free of charge, delegates who fail to attend, and who do not give apologies at least 5 days prior to the training date, may be charged £25 for non-attendance.
Delegates who have previously cancelled a place on domestic abuse training and who subsequently cancel for a second time will automatically be charged £25.
