CVS Falkirk & District Volunteering Awards 2026: Nomination Deadline

March 31 @ 12:00 pm

Free

Great achievements deserve to be celebrated — and now it’s your chance to shine a spotlight on those making a real difference. Nominations are NOW OPEN for the CVS Falkirk & District Volunteering Awards 2026, inviting you to recognise the individuals and teams whose passion, innovation, and dedication support and inspire us all.

You have until 12pm on Tuesday 31 March 2026 to submit your nomination. We welcome nominations from all who have been impacted by volunteers or volunteer-involving organisations, as well as from individuals who wish to nominate their own organisation or organisations who want to nominate their own volunteers. Please note, unfortunately late submissions cannot be considered.

To submit your nomination, please complete the following form in as much detail as possible: CVS Falkirk & District Volunteering Awards 2026: Nomination Form

We encourage everyone who has been impacted by volunteering to share their experiences, highlight the value it created, and put forward the community groups, voluntary organisations, and individual volunteers who turn small steps into a big impact. Reflecting on the benefit of these awards, CVS Falkirk & District, CEO Victoria McRae said:

“Our 2025 Ceremony highlighted the quiet power of Falkirk District volunteers now more than ever, and the reception to its return was far more than we could have imagined. Taking time to celebrate our volunteers through our Awards Ceremony is more than providing recognition – it is a chance for our communities to share their gratitude to those who give their time, heart, and skills towards the betterment of their local area.”

After the closing date (Tuesday 31 March 2026), nominations will be reviewed by an independent judging panel who will choose the winner for each award. Please note that panellists reserve the right to reallocate nominations to an appropriate category if required.

Whether it’s a trailblazing enterprise, a community hero, or a team going above and beyond, this is your opportunity to put their achievements in the spotlight!

For further information or support nominating, please read the below guidance or contact the CVS Falkirk & District by phone: 01324 692000, or email:  info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk

CVS Falkirk & District ask that each nomination has a separate form submitted, with multiple nominations allowed across categories. With two new categories for 2026, please consider how best to recognise your nominee. Categories include:

  • Volunteer of the Year:

A volunteer, aged 26 or above, that has shown a strong commitment to volunteering, and has made an outstanding contribution to the benefit of our local communities. Perhaps a volunteer who has demonstrated great reliability or inspired and enhanced the lives of others.

  • Young Volunteer of the Year:

A young volunteer, aged 25 or below, who has shown outstanding commitment and enthusiasm to the benefit of our local communities. Perhaps someone who has overcome personal barriers to volunteer, or shared key skills or lived experience within their role.

  • Lifetime Achievement Award:

An outstanding individual that has volunteered for much of their lifetime and had a significant long-term impact by going above and beyond ordinary duties. Perhaps someone involved in multiple volunteering roles throughout the years, or who has helped shape the development of a group through their longstanding commitment.

  • Strength in Service Award:

An individual whose volunteering journey is defined by remarkable resilience, courage, and determination for themselves or toward the progression of their group. Perhaps someone whose story reflects the power of perseverance and belief that even in the toughest moments, community connection can be a source of purpose and transformation.

  • Organisation of the Year:

For organisations that have made a significant impact in the Falkirk and District area. Perhaps an organisation who has adapted themselves and their services to support their communities during times of need, or sustained significant achievements.

  • Health and Wellbeing Award:

For organisations that have made a significant improvement to the health and wellbeing of people and communities in Falkirk and District, including mental and physical wellbeing. Perhaps an organisation working to prevent social isolation or supporting the community to participate in wellbeing activities.

  • Green Award:

For organisations engaged in and supporting sustainability or environmental activities. Perhaps an organisation encouraging the community to embrace greener activity or delivering education/outdoor learning projects, or conservation and gardening opportunities.

  • Community Led Action Award:

For organisations that have created lasting change for their area through creative community engagement, as well as delivering projects and services with positive impact and leadership. Perhaps steering the implementation of new facilities within their area, or ensuring local spaces are able to continue to support their communities.

Within your nomination, please provide a complete overview (using anecdotes, case studies, facts and figures, etc.) of your nominee’s impact and contribution to best support the judging panel when considering nominations. Your response should provide detail which can be appreciated by someone with no knowledge of the volunteer or volunteer-involving organisation.

  • Create Impact:

Be specific, using examples, case studies, facts and figures to demonstrate any statements you make. For example, consider how best to illustrate whether their involvement has gone beyond what would normally be expected or whether the volunteer has overcome barriers to volunteering (e.g. health issues, family/work commitments) by providing examples of reliability and impact.

  • Tailor the Nomination to the Category:

Nominating for Green Award? Describe the impact of specific situations such as: methods you have implemented to support sustainability, activities you have ran to promote environmental activities, or any instances where you have developed new ways to encourage community to embrace more economically aware mindsets.

  • Show Current Pathways:

Be explicit about what you are currently doing/have done recently which makes your nomination different to others. Perhaps, demonstrate how your organisation is reacting to current issues such as cost of living, or social isolation through the development of projects or events.

  • Be Detailed:

Provide as much information as possible to represent why you believe your nominee stands out from the rest – don’t assume people share your understanding of their journey, spell it out. The more you provide, the better chance you create.

Any volunteer and volunteer-involving organisation (charity, community group, social enterprise, CIC…) is eligible to be nominated.

Please ensure all organisation/volunteer names are spelt correctly and no abbreviations are used as the information provided will be used to print certificates and awards. Should the wrong information be supplied, there may be a charge for replacements.

Please ensure that you have permission to provide the requested information to CVS Falkirk & District.

NOMINATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 12PM, ON TUESDAY 31 MARCH 2026.
