Consultation Workshop: National Plan to End the Need for Foodbanks
January 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
Scottish Government is currently consulting on a draft national plan to end the need for food banks as a primary response to food insecurity, and have launched an online consultation to gather views. A series of consultation workshops has also been organised, with the next taking place on Monday 20th December, 2pm – 4pm via Teams.
This is part of Scottish Government’s commitment to ensuring a dignified and sustainable approach to food for everyone.
They are keen to hear from people who have used foodbanks, and/or have direct experience of food insecurity, and the third sector groups who support them, both via the online consultation and the workshops. The process aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone with these experiences to contribute to the national plan, and to have their voices heard.
Consultation workshops will take place on the following dates, via Teams:
- Monday 20th December, 2pm – 4pm
- Monday 10th January, 2pm – 4pm
- Tuesday 11th January, 10am – 12pm
- Friday 14th January, 10am – 12pm
- Tuesday 18th January, 2pm – 4pm
- Thursday 20th January 10am – 12pm
Each workshop will run for approximately 2 hours, with a break in the middle. Workshops are limited to a maximum of 10 participants each, to enable a deeper discussion.
An anonymised note of views shared will contribute to the consultation process, but individuals will not be named or identifiable.
