ASP Walk: Samaritans Talk To Us
July 21, 2022 @ 9:45 am - 12:00 pm
FreeFalkirk Council’s Adult Support and Protection (ASP) team, along with Falkirk Samaritans and Stenhousemuir Football Club, is holding another ASP Walk on Thursday 21st July, 9:45am – 12pm to support Samaritans’ “Talk To Us” campaign.
Every year in July, Samaritans branches across the UK hold local events to raise awareness that Samaritans are available to listen to anyone who is struggling to cope, at any time of the day or night. Talk to Us is one of the ways Samaritans raise awareness that they are here – “for anyone who needs someone to listen, 24/7, without judgement or pressure”.
Everyone is welcome to join the leisurely walk, led by the Falkirk Rangers Service. Participants will meet outside Dorrator Bridge Car Park (opposite the First Bus depot on Stirling Road, Larbert, FK5 3NJ), and keeping to a circular route of around 6 miles, following the River Carron, along the lade and over the Dorrator Bridge.
The walk will finish at approximately 11:30am at Ochilview Park, where there will be the opportunity for tea, coffee and biscuits, along with the chance to speak with other walkers and learn more about the Talk To Us campaign.
Participants are advised to wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.
