With Easter just around the corner, we have gathered information on community Easter holiday activities across Falkirk District, where local groups and communities are doing everything they can to make sure everyone is able to enjoy the holiday (and the chocolate).
This new page features information on fun things to do with the kids until schools return, including local activities, recipes, and much more! There are also details of a number of donation campaigns running across the district, and other ways to give.

- Easter Egg Donation Drive for Early Years Scotland (EYS): The Play Loft is looking for donations of chocolate Easter eggs only to support EYS and help brighten a child’s Easter. Donations must be made by Friday 3 April 2026, and can be organised by dropping off at Play Loft classes, or by messaging the Facebook page.
- Committed to Ending Abuse (CEA) Easter Egg Appeal: CEA is looking for donations of Easter eggs to gift to the children and families accessing its services, which are available to adults, children and young people across the Falkirk District who have been affected by domestic abuse and trauma. Donations can be dropped off to the CEA office at 21 Wellside Place, Falkirk, FK1 5RL.
- KLSB Community Group
No Holidays from Hunger Appeal: For many children affected by poverty, school provides their only hot meal; during the school holidays, this meal is not available, and KLSB Community Group is fundraising via Crowdfunder to help support local families during the Easter school holidays, and provide emergency food for families in crisis.
KLSB Easter Egg Appeal: KLSB is also collecting Easter Eggs and Easter treats to share with children and families across the Larbert and Stenhousemuir communities this Easter. People can donate Easter eggs via the Food Donation Point inside the Asda Stenhousemuir store.

- Bloomin’ Bo’ness Easter Hunt: Bloomin’ Bo’ness’s annual Easter hunt is back, with 12 bunny or Easter egg tree displays to find throughout the town. People are invited to take a photo of their family with the display, and submit it to the linked post. All photos should be posted no later than Friday 3 April 2026, and Bloomin’ Bo’ness will deliver Easter eggs to the children included the next day.
- Football Holiday Camps: Falkirk Foundation’s camps offer half days and 8am starts at Woodlands Community Sports, and are open to primary school aged kids of all abilities, taking place on Friday 3 April 2026, and both weeks of the school holidays.
- Eggs-cellent Egg Hunt at the Falkirk Wheel: from 10:30am on Saturday 4 April 2026, a colourful egg hunt, a round of mini golf, and a meet and greet with a very special surprise guest! One child’s ticket to Falkirk Wheel’s egg hunt (£14 each) includes a round of mini golf for one child and one accompanying adult (young people over 16 years old go free — no ticket needed!).
- Easter Messy Church: Bo’ness Salvation Army Community Church is holding its Easter Messy Church for families of all ages, Saturday 4 April 2026, 11am – 1pm, with songs, games, Easter crafts, and lunch provided.
- Easter Bunny Visits: While the Fun Day in Bonnybridge is now fully booked, ROOTS Foodbank and Community Events is bringing its free Easter Bunny Visits to Denny Gala Park on Saturday 4 April 2026, 1pm – 2pm, and Banknock Park, 3pm – 4pm, with free Easter eggs available!
- Please note that Happy Mondays in Bonnybridge will be closed on Easter Monday 6 April 2026.)
- Sustainable Thinking Scotland (STS) CIC Easter Bunny Cup: Taking place Saturday 4 April 2026, 1pm – 3pm at the Walled Garden in Kinneil Estate, Bo’ness, teams of 2-8 people can compete for the “ultimate trophy”; children aged 4 years old and over can take part, with crafts and activities for younger children. This event has been funded by the Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
- Baskets, Bunnies & Blooms: Polmont Together’s Easter afternoon on Saturday 4 April, 1pm – 4pm, in the Polmont Lower Precinct, with games, face painting, sweet treats, tombola, a plant sale, and a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Found Church Easter Fun Day: the Found Church Larbert’s Easter Fun Day takes place Saturday 4 April 2026, 1pm – 3pm, for children in P1 – P7, with crafts, games and prizes; families are welcome to attend for the full event, or pop in for however long they can. (Children under 5 years old will have their own dedicated stay and play area at the Community Cafe where adults “can hang out, chat and enjoy a drink and treat!”)
- Friends of Inchyra Easter Egg Hunt: A free Easter egg hunt hosted in Inchyra Park on Saturday 4 April, 2pm – 4pm, featuring music, inflatables, an ice cream van, craft stalls, and face painting, plus visits from Benji the Bus (for children aged under 4 years old, fire engines, police cars, and much more.
- Tamfourhill Community Hub Easter Fun Day: Taking place Sunday 5 April 2026 at the hub, 11am – 2pm, with an Easter egg hunt, disco, inflatables and stalls, games and crafts, tombola, and an Egg and Spoon Race!
- Sip and Smiles: Fankerton Hut is hosting a Sip and Smiles event to raise money for Strathcarron Hospice in celebration of its 45th anniversary, taking place at the Hut on Sunday 5 April 2026, 2pm – 4pm. There will be an Easter quiz, egg painting and rolling, an Easter bonnet colouring competition, and an Egg and Spoon Race.
- Easter Sunday Karaoke Bash: Banknock Community Hall is doing something a little different, with a disco and karaoke competition! Taking place on Sunday 5 April, 4pm – 9pm, at the Hall, the event is free to enter, with a prize for the best singer.
- Stenhousemuir Gymnastics Club (SGC) Half Day Easter Camps: SCG has announced its Half Day Easter Gymnastics Camps, taking place during both weeks of the Easter school holidays. The camps will take place 10am – 1pm, Monday 6 April 2026 – Friday 10 April 2026 (Week 1) and Monday 13 April – Friday 17 April 2026 (Week 2), based at the Carron Gymnastics Centre. The cost is £20 per session, or £95 for the full five day week.
- Slamannan Kids’ Lunch Club: Slamannan Action Group is hosting two of its Kids Lunch Club for children in Limerigg and Slamannan, one each week of the Easter Holidays, on Monday 6 April 2026, and Monday 13 April 2026. The clubs are completely free, with different activities and free lunch! All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Easter Football Camps: Galaxy Foundation is running Easter Football Camps at Little Kerse, at its new indoor football arena and outdoor full size astro pitches. Sessions will run Monday 6 April 2026 – Friday 17 April 2026. Camps are open to boys and girls, and all participants will receive a medal and certificate of attendance. - Falkirk Council has organised free Toddlers Easter Play Sessions and Easter Family Fun Sessions at Ettrick Dochart Community Hall in Hallglen running Mondays and Wednesdays during the Easter holiday:
- Toddlers Easter Play Sessions: 10:30am – 12:30pm on Monday 6 April 2026, Wednesday 8 April 2026, Monday 13 April 2026, and Wednesday 15 April 2026, open to toddlers aged 1 – 3 years old for soft play, crafts, and sensory activities, with snacks provided.
- Easter Family Fun Sessions: 2pm – 4pm on Monday 6 April 2026 and Monday 13 April 2026, and 1pm – 3pm on Wednesday 8 April 2026 and Wednesday 15 April 2026
- Nature Awakens Walks: Taking place at Larbert Loch (Tuesday 7 April 2026, 10:30am – 12:30pm) and Summerford Park (Wednesday 8 April 2026, 11am – 12:30pm), Under the Trees’ walks will include lots of springtime activities such as making seedbombs and spring crafts, scavenger hunts, and pond dipping at Larbert Loch only!
- SCYAP Easter Programme: Safer Communities Youth Action Project’s (SCYAP) Easter Programme and Twilight Sports are coming to a public parks this Easter School holidays: free for children aged 10 – 16 years old, with sports, nature and creative activities with food and drink for everyone:
- Tuesday 7 April 2026, 1pm – 4pm in Nailer Park/Simpson Park
- Thursday 9 April 2026, 1pm – 4pm in Easter Carmuirs Park
- Friday 10 April 2026, 1pm – 4pm in the Games Court and Park on Carradale Ave in Tamfourhill
- One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS): OPFS has organised a number of free Easter school holiday activities from Tuesday 7 April 2026, designed to be fun and family-friendly, taking place in Grangemouth and Maddiston.
- Westquarter Community Wing Easter Activities: The Community Wing will be running Easter activities for children and families in the Redding and Westquarter areas, 1pm – 3pm on Tuesday 7 April 2026, Wednesday 8 April 2026, Tuesday 14 April 2026, Wednesday 15 April 2026. There will be Easter arts and crafts, including decorate an egg to win a prize, decorate a skip hat, and others. Toddlers must be accompanied with an adult.
- Animation Workshops: Falkirk Leisure and Culture has organised 2D and 3D animation workshops at Callendar House for children aged 7 – 12 years old, with Jim Stirk from Animation Jam leading the sessions, teaching participants how to make their very own animation to show to family and friends! Children can attend the 2D session on Wednesday 8 April 2026 (from 10am), or the 3D session on Thursday 9 April 2026 (from 10am) – or take part in both!
- Easter Craft Sessions: Falkirk Delivers is running craft sessions on Friday 10 April 2026, Saturday 11 April 2026, Friday 17 April 2026, and Saturday 18 April 2026, with a range of creative Easter-themed activities, “perfect for getting into the spring spirit while making something special to take home”. Spaces are limited, and booking via the TicketSource website is essential.
- Grangemouth Stadium Athletics Easter Camps: Grangemouth Community Sports Trust has launched its Athletics Easter Camps, which aim to allow children in Primary 1 – Primary 7 to try out various athletic disciplines in a fun and safe environment, and take place at Grangemouth Stadium, Kersiebank Avenue, Grangemouth, FK3 0EE, every day Monday 13 April 2026 – Friday 17 April 2026.
- Larbert Churches Youth Trust is holding two Easter Kids Clubs:
- Monday 13 April 2026 – Tuesday 14 April 2026: running 10am – 12pm at the Larbert Tryst Church, for children in Primary 2 – Primary 7, and featuring games, crafts, Bible stories, snacks, and singing; booking is via the online form.
- Thursday 16 April 2026 – Friday 17 April 2026: a sports-theme club running 10am – 12pm at the Airth Community Centre, for children in Primary 4 – Primary 7, and featuring games, crafts, Bible stories, snacks, and singing; booking is via the sports club online form.
- Easter Art Week: D2 The Creative Centre in Larbert has spaces available at its Easter Art Week, running Monday 13 April 2026 – Friday 17 April 2026, 10am – 3pm each day. The week includes 5 days of activities for children aged 7 – 12 years old including drawing, painting, working with textiles, printmaking and sculpture. On the last day, the artwork will be prepared for a mini exhibition. Children should bring a packed lunch with them each day for a supervised lunch session, a morning snack will be provided. The week is £185, all materials are included.
- Bailliefields Community Hub (BCH): BCH is hosting a multi-sport Easter camp on Tuesday 14 April 2026 and Wednesday 15 April 2026, running 9am – 12pm each day. The camp is completely free and open to pupils in P4 – P7. “Join us for two fun-filled mornings packed with multi-sport activities, team games and Easter-themed fun at Bailliefields Community Hub.”

Found Church Larbert: The church has organised a Youth Event at Larbert West Church Building, taking place 7pm – 9pm on Wednesday 15 April 2026. This is aimed at children in Primary 7 – S6, and will include pizza, games and video games (including a Mario Kart competition); booking is via the online form.
- Historic Scotland and Historic Environment Scotland (HES) have launched their “Lambs on the Loose! The Easter Trail”, self-guided Easter Trails running Friday 3 April 2026 – Monday 6 April 2026 at historic sites across the country, including Blackness Castle, plus nearby Linlithgow Castle and Stirling Castle.
- Falkirk Libraries Spring Holiday Music Workshops: Libraries across the district are holding music workshops run by friendly, experienced music tutors who will take children through the basics, and get them playing in no time. There is also a family music workshop for younger children (and their grown-ups) with shakers, drums, and more.
- Guitar at Meadowbank Library (Polmont) for children aged 8 – 16 years old, 11am – 12pm every Thursday in the holidays.
- Violin at Larbert Library for children aged 8 – 16 years old, 1pm – 2pm on Monday 13 April 2026 and Tuesday 12 April 2026
- Ukulele at Denny Library on Tuesdays in the holidays, 11am – 12pm, for children aged 8 – 16 years old – parents and guardians can join in too!
- Family music workshop (for children aged 3 years old and over) at Bo’ness Library on Tuesday 14 April 2026, from 11am.
- Falkirk Leisure and Culture: the Easter 2026 programme is now live, with Outdoor Adventure days, Multi-sport Day Camps, and smaller individual sport camps (from gymnastics to badminton, plus an ASN Easter Camp).
- National Trust for Scotland has lots of things to do over the break, including Easter Eggs Trails over the 2026 holiday weekend (including at the Bannockburn Visitor Centre and Battle Experience, and Alloa Tower), some simple Easter crafting ideas and recipes for delicious Egg-cellent Easter Cupcakes for you to try!
- Parent Club has a list of very creative ideas to keep busy over the Spring holiday, including making a mini golf course, and pizza parties, and pitching a tent in your own living room or back garden!
