A new draft Regional Transport Strategy (RTS) for the South East of Scotland area has been approved, with an online consultation now open for views via their Virtual Engagement Hub.
The draft RTS has been developed by the South East of Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran), and is designed to provide a strategic framework for transport management and investment for the area covered by SEStran, which includes:
- Clackmannanshire
- Falkirk
- City of Edinburgh
- East Lothian
- Midlothian
- West Lothian
- Fife
- Scottish Borders
The RTS aims to address the identified transport problems and issues being experienced in the area, with the new draft setting out these challenges, and how SEStran proposes to respond to them.
They are keen to hear from as many people as possible who live and work in the SEStran area.
The deadline for responses is 5pm on Friday 11th February 2022.
