To mark Autism Acceptance Week 2023 this week, Scottish Government has launched stage 2 of their Different Minds campaign: Autism and the Social Rulebook, which has been created and produced in partnership with autistic people.
Alongside the new film Marion and the Social Rulebook, the campaign includes an eBook (both linked for your convenience) with information behind the film. Written by autistic people, the eBook details the differences in eye contact, body language, small talk and processing and gives an insight into their everyday experiences when it comes to autistic to non-autistic communication.
There are also campaign promotion assets for those who wish to share the campaign; the assets are available via the Scottish Government Resource Centre, and include:
- campaign video, Marion and the Social Rulebook
- eBook
- Lived Experience videos
- social media videos
- A4 posters
- summary sheets (available in BSL, Large Print, and MP3 audio; Easy Read and alternative languages will be available soon)
- newsletter images
- the main campaign advert
- “Different minds. One Scotland” Stakeholder Toolkit
- Autism Myths – full video (including BSL version) – from stage one
- Myth videos x 13 (including BSL versions) – from stage one
