The deadline for applications to the Scottish Refugee Council’s Refugee Festival Small Grants Fund is Sunday 6th March.
Grants up to £500 are available to grassroots groups and voluntary organisations looking to take part in this year’s Refugee Festival Scotland, by helping them cover the cost of running events.
The Refugee Festival Scotland takes place every summer in the lead up to World Refugee Day on 20th June. Events are held across the country to share the art, culture, language and ideas that people bring with them when they settle in Scotland. This year, the festival takes place Friday 17th June – Sunday 26th June, with a theme of “storytelling”.
Groups can apply for a small grant to help run all kinds of activities and events – any event is welcome, from visual art, film, music, dance and discussion to sport, storytelling, workshops, theatre and family-friendly picnics.
