The Clackmannanshire, Falkirk & Stirling Local Authority Staff Lottery (CFSLA) committee will next meet on Monday 24th April to assess submitted applications for funding.
They will accept applications for this round before this point; any applications submitted after the meeting will not be assessed until the next committee meeting.
The CFSLA staff lottery (also know as the payroll lottery) is for employees of Clackmannanshire, Stirling or Falkirk Councils, Assessors for Central Scotland and retired employee from any of these organisations. It is run by volunteers from across these organisations.
CFSLA uses the proceeds of the lottery to support charities, community groups and staff fundraising activity, with a maximum award of £600. (They will also support national and international charities within specified limits.)
Eligibility: Who Can Apply, Who Cannot, and What Cannot be Funded
To be eligible, groups:
- should be constituted
- should have clearly defined objectives
- should be able to show evidence of community benefit
- should be able to provide a set of accounts
Groups who cannot apply include those which promote political activity, is sectarian in nature, supports or promotes discrimination of any kind, or provides a purely “social” function.
Additionally, the committee will not fund:
- administration costs
- training costs
- salaries
- research
- trips
- individuals
- rental or hire of a hall, or equipment
- retrospective purchases
They also cannot fund the purchase of items which would become the property of a statutory agency, nor items which a statutory agency is responsible for providing.
What Can Be Funded
The CFSLA Lottery is able to fund applications from charities and community groups for:
- equipment or materials which are essential to allow an existing group to continue or extend the activities or services that group can provide to the community
- equipment or materials that will allow the group to raise additional funds for themselves
- new groups which need essential equipment to begin operating
- projects for the welfare and benefit of the employees of the participating organisations
