Crawford Architectural has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to Falkirk Council, with the intention to build affordable residential housing at the site on Carron Road, Falkirk (between the Lidl and Co-op, and Matalan).
They are required by law to consult with the public on this proposal, with a public consultation event on Wednesday 13th December, 4pm – 8pm at Bainsford Community Hall, an online exhibition, and an online feedback form (linked for your convenience).
Background
In October, Crawford Architectural submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to Falkirk Council, with the intention to build residential housing at the site on Carron Road, Falkirk (between the Lidl and Co-op, and Matalan). This began a statutory 12 week period for consultation, which will run until Friday 2nd February 2024.
The purpose of the PAN is to consult on a proposed residential housing development, made up of around 80 properties for affordable housing. The properties will include flats, cottages and houses, with a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed options.
Public Consultation: Have Your Say
As part of the statutory consultation period, a public consultation event will be held on Wednesday 13th December, 4pm – 8pm at Bainsford Community Hall, Davids Loan, Bainsford, FK2 7NS.
This will be a drop-in session, with local people and other visitors able to attend at any time, for as long as they need. Crawford Architectural is keen to hear from residents and local third sector and community groups supporting the Bainsford, Langlees and Carron areas.
In addition to the public consultation event, there is an online exhibition available to view; the information and materials in this exhibition will also be available at the consultation event.
A feedback form has also been created and, along with set questions, includes space to provide any other comments on the PAN. The deadline for responses via the feedback form is 11:59pm on Friday 15th December.
Comments and feedback can also be submitted by phone; contact Janet Boyd before 5pm on Friday 15th December, by phone: 0141 212 8668 (9am – 5pm only).
Additional Information
Crawford Architectural has noted that the proposals for this development have not been finalised – the site layouts and elevations which have been prepared (linked for your convenience) have been created to demonstrate how the site could be developed, but may be subject to change based on feedback received during the consultation period.
The public consultation forms part of the PAN formal consultation, and has been created to provide information on the potential housing development at Carron Road. All comments and feedback will be reviewed and considered prior to the Planning Application being lodged with Falkirk Council.
