Since CVS Falkirk & District was founded in 1984, it has supported community engagement and volunteering. Yet it is individuals and volunteer-involving organisations who truly drive community empowerment, and it is these people that we want to celebrate! As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, CVS Falkirk & District are hosting an exhibition highlighting the impact of volunteering across Falkirk. ‘Capturing Volunteer Stories, 1984-2024’ will be held at Arnotdale House on the 10-20 September, and we want to highlight as many organisations and volunteer experiences as possible!
Our hope is to showcase the amazing contributions made by volunteers over the last forty years, and the impact that they continue to make across Falkirk and District as we travel through landmark moments across the timeline. Sharing stories, anecdotes, oral histories, material culture and media, this exhibition seeks to record, highlight and celebrate the stories and memories of volunteers.
To share your stories, whether promoting your organisation or providing your own memories, please see the below questionnaires (linked for your convenience). We would love to hear from you, and feature your story in our upcoming exhibition.

We are also looking to borrow objects of significance to add another layer of interest and visibility to go alongside these stories; whether you operate a mobile befriending service and can lend an old phone, or work in first aid and can lend a uniform – we would love to discuss this with you.
For any images supplied, please ensure you complete the photo permissions form, and that you get the signatures of those individuals featured in the photograph/video footage for the Photo Permission Form as well.
