Organised by Social Enterprise Scotland in collaboration with Forth Valley SEN, CVS Falkirk & District, CTSI and Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise, the Buying and Selling with Impact Event is coming to Falkirk this month.
Designed for organisations across the Forth Valley region, this event offers an opportunity to connect directly with private and public sector organisations who are looking to engage social enterprises in their supply chains. The event will host a range of expert speakers, with information and guidance about current and upcoming procurement opportunities and network with buyers and social enterprises.
Social enterprises are innovative, independent businesses that exist to deliver a specific social and/or environmental mission. Their profits are reinvested in their mission. Social enterprise is a dynamic, ethical and more sustainable way of doing business. There are more than 6,000 social enterprises in Scotland, generating more than £2.3 billion for Scotland’s economy, and supporting more than 88,000 jobs.
Over the last five years, CVS Falkirk, & District, SVE and CTSI have worked together to support the development of the Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network, bringing together some of the 180 active social enterprises in Forth Valley ranging from hostels to training providers, reuse shops to plant nurseries. Social Enterprise Scotland, as the representative body for social enterprises in Scotland are supporting and developing a collaborative movement so that all social enterprises have a stronger collective voice.
The event is being held at Forth Valley College, Falkirk Campus on 31 October 2024.
